Two-time UFC Heavyweight champ, Cain Velasquez has once again dropped out of a UFC heavyweight title bout due to injury. Velasquez will no longer compete vs. Fabricio Werdum at UFC 196 on Feb. 6, and has been replaced by Stipe Miocic.

We received the news with great shock this evening. We visited the former champ at home just a week ago, for an extensive sit down interview. As you can see from the exclusive video below, Cain was in top shape, relaxed and razor focused on UFC 196. We discussed the importance of this fight, his preparation and ultimately what his legacy would be in the sport.

An injury plagued Cain Velasquez (13-2 MMA, 11-2 UFC), has only fought three times in the past three years and was less than two weeks away from challenging Fabricio Werdum (20-5-1 MMA, 8-2 UFC) for the title.

Velasquez and Werdum have been scheduled to face each other three times but only one match has materialized. After the news was announced Velasquez released a statement on his official Facebook account explaining the circumstances around his injury.
